Greetings in the name of our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ.
As September, the ninth month of the year of our Lord
is upon us, we are still in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic which is raising safety concerns regarding students as well as teachers returning to school and/or to do school virtually admist even more spikes projected for Labor Day Weekend.
Also, as the days are getting shorter, the nights are getting longer, the leaves will start to turn and the temperatures will start to drop we are also in the midst of the aftermath of yet another senseless shooting as well as a contentous election on the horizon.
September always remind me of that day - September 11th - that we will never forget when our country was attacked by terrorists and those who senselessly lost their lives and sadly impacted their beloved families who were left behind. I still to this day, even though I have been retired ten years, remember that I was in a meeting at work and we had staff members in New York Citywho thanks be to God made it back home safely.
September is also the month where we celebrate Labor Day, the last official day of chillin' and grillin', but it is a bittersweet time for me as on September 5, 2016 is the day my bff, the wind beneath my wings, my beloved Ginny aka Mother Virginia Hale, went home to be the Lord. Words cannot be express how much I love and miss her sweet spirit, her contagious laugh, and encouraging words but I thank God for the blessing she was in my life as she will forevermore live in my heart.
So as we journey through this month of September, let us not forget the victims of September 11 as well as their families as we continue to pray without ceasing for God to heal our land admist the coronavirus, domestic shootings, hurricanes and racial tensions.
Lord have mercy - but thanks be to God that He is
in control and He will have the final say!!!
